mw1 has less annoying features. iv always considered mtw2 to be the worst of the 3d rendered tw games. exclusive recruitment at castles and towns makes retraining annoying. archer firing trajectory is downright broken. also like rtw the spawning brigands that cant be stopped without modding become super tiring late game, not because they are difficult (they aint) but because they spawn about
England: Opening Moves Guide. By Gaius Colinius. Part of the Bayeux Tapestry. England has an enviable starting position in that it can very easily have 7 secure & safe provinces very early in the game with a “beachhead” province in Caen. Common sense alone dictates that eradicating the Scots is the key to the opening moves.

Markets (Medieval II: Total War) Edit. Markets are buildings in Medieval II: Total War. A markets greatly increase trade in town or city. In town or cities with Grain Exchange or above you can recruit limited number of Merchants (one building of market any level allows recruiting 1 Merchant).

I'm not super great at Medieval 2, but a few tips anyways: While you can use buildable-on-the-fly siege equipment, getting some actual dedicated siege units at some point could be very worth it. Get at least a basic level of roads up fairly early. It's a worthwhile investment. If you can get an assassin over there, it's not that hard to
It’s been a few years now since we’ve had Rome Total War and it’s expansions as well as now more recently Medieval 2 Total War and it’s expansions available I would only recommend Medieval 2 if you have not played other more modern Total War games. the_architect_016. • 9 mo. ago. Yes, Medieval 2 has the best mod support out of any of the Total War games and it still holds up well to this day. dearest_of_leaders. • 9 mo. ago. With fire and sword. mod for the 17th century. Guns, muskets and more fun. OiM II (With Fire and Sword II) develops ideas of precursor and in many respects similiar to it. Some aspects of the mod stays the same, but many of them will change. Another engine of Medieval II and later date of campaign start (first With Fire and Sword 2: Total War
I agree. Rome 1's battles are great but hampered by pathfinding issues and on huge unit scale, it doesn't quite work in settlements. Roman infantry tend to go forward despite being in range to use their pillia, they tend to march forward in battle to do so as well etc.. Medieval 2's got issues but the pathfinding is better.
If you can catch it on sale it's definitely worth it. It's definitely a different game compared to the Warhammer series. Just remember to get it on sale because its very often -75% off. Getting it for 60 dollars its like paying for a new release. It’s great, and if you like classical antiquity nothing beats it.

Inardesco Aug 15, 2018 @ 9:22am. To be fair, the bonusses the AI get's in Medieval 2 are negligible in comparison to what they get in Empire and beyond. That saidThe AI DOES act differently on very hard in comparison to easy. The AI gets more active when the difficulty is higher in both diplomacy and warfare.

Medieval II: Total War: Kingdoms mod | Released 2019. A mod focusing on the year 1065 in an alternate timeline where the Saxons had a large rebellion, and the Normans took longer to take England. New playable factions are: With the De-Hording of The Timurid's and The Mongol's.
A Blacksmith can be worth his weight in gold if he can also turn his hand to producing military equipment. While a smith may spend most of his time mending tools, an Armourer is a specialist. Going beyond the normal skills of civilian metalwork he has the talent to create chainmail, for example. Typically no. I'd get it only if you were floating a large sum of money. Well its supposed to grant Advanced Plate, which means units with anything less than Full Plate Armour would not benefit from it. That pretty much discounts most of the units around, except the highest tier Cavalry units like Gendarmes or Lancers. YDnCff2.
