They are often clearly worth the 3*, but may not meet my expectations. Hopefully the beer with some great local brew you can add to the 'tasty' list and remember that part of Kutna Hora. As an aside, is there a TI office that you may have benefited in visiting for some help in salvaging the day?
As said by others - get the train, make sure it's direct. Also there are 2 train stations in Kutna Hora, the main one is near the bone chapel, but a few kms from the monastery and town itself. Don't miss out on the monastery though - walk there or get a bus and the town centre itself is nice (even though the outskirts leave a little to be desired). It takes like, 20-30 minutes to get there, walking even, and is worth it. It's cliche for visiting Kutna Hora but visiting the ossuary is an absolute must, youKutná Hora prides itself with one of the densest and most preserved silver mines in the world! They are going to guide you through the mine and they will show you the process of creating silver coins. From mining the silver ore to the finished coin. The entire tour is narrated by a tour guide, the mines aren’t accessible without one!
Top Kutna Hora Landmarks: See reviews and photos of sights to see in Kutna Hora, Czech Republic on Tripadvisor. Traveling from Prague to Kutná Hora is incredibly easy. I recommend taking the Cesky Drahy train, which takes less than an hour and will only cost you $5. The first thing we did was walk and explore the city center. The windy and narrow cobblestone streets give you plenty to explore, and you can stop at many cute cafes and restaurants along GacYwU.
