The affinity fix for Dragon Age: Origins, a fix meant to provide better stability/performance with modern day cpus. Originally, the game was designed for lower core count cpus, the fix tells the game to use only 1 core from the cpu. Resulting in better stability/performance for the game overall. CJHRRIHRH Dec 2, 2014 @ 8:42pm. Ok if the OP is serious: Don't expect DAI to be origins 2.0 it is very different. the combat is more like DA2. There are a lot of big areas to roam in and lots to explore but the game is best when you're playing the main plot. Don't get sidetracked.
Yes get the ultimate edition. Awakening is good and most of the dlc is worth. Also for five bucks more you get a hundred dollars worth if content
Im having an issue with dragon age origins ultimate edition at the start of the game in ostagar the game just keeps crashing while playing or while loading my save i tried 3 times start a new game i tried 2 times reinstall the game i tried repair the game 4 times i tried setting cpu affinity i tried
The reason I am asking is because I noticed (I'm looking at buying Origins) that the GOG version is $10 less than the Steam version. I really want to get it on Steam, but I don't want to pay the extra $10 unless there is some incentive to do so. According to the review posted by kokosabre, it does contain all the DLC.

Awakening can be played on its own. You can also import your character. #3. Grimmrog_SIG Nov 28, 2018 @ 4:35pm. ok thx, thats pretty much the answers I need. #4. Dr.Fumetastic Nov 29, 2018 @ 3:47am. You can buy tomes fairly soon after starting Awakening to redistribute all points on a character.

The Ultimate Edition is definitely worth it. As for the DLC, you import Origins (main game) into Awakenings (expansion) then into Golems (mini-campaign) then into Witch Hunt (mini-campaign). You can also get rewards foth both Origins & Awakenings from doindg the 4 mini-campaigns. N7BigBoss 9 years ago #8. Oh yes! Dec 26, 2011. Dragon Age: Origins had the potential to be a far better game than it turned out to be. The story (though not groundbreaking) and art direction are worthy of praise, but BioWare's mistakes in quality assurance and marketing shred its score. Even this "Ultimate Edition" is riddled with bugs - and this is after four major patches. Note that the Ultimate Edition retail version comes pre-patched to 1.04, so applying the patch is still recommended. Numerous further issues are fixed in Qwinn's Ultimate Dragon Age: Origins Fixpack mod (but be aware that it is incompatible with many other mods).
You've helped me a lot. Won't reveal much so as not to spoil anything, but several of the dlcs take place after the main game and add a decent amount of play time so yes, you should get the ultimate edition. That is, if you can't get them seperately. #3. EA Latium Dec 26, 2021 @ 11:08am.
Dragon Age Origins: Ultimate Edition – 2010 (Bundle) DA: Origins has 8 DLCs plus an expansion. The Ultimate Edition bundles the base game, its DLCs, and the expansion. Dragon Age II – 2011 (Main Game) Bioware took about two years to create Dragon Age II. DA II debuted in 2011 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Mac OS. It’s a direct sequel IeLIhJH.
